SENIOR COUNSELOR

A program of The Dale Association with funding from Niagara County Office for the Aging, our Senior Counselor is located at our program building, 33 Ontario Street, in Lockport, (716) 433-3344 ext. 4.

Open to all members of The Dale Association, as well as any Niagara County resident 60 years of age and older.  The purpose of the program is to assist seniors in living with dignity, respect and self-determination and to provide them with the resources to do so.  We proudly provide the following services:

• Linkage to appropriate community services.
• Liaison with families and informal caregivers.
• Informal counseling and support.
• Information and referral.
• Advocacy.
• Assistance with application for public entitlements.
• Empowerment of residents to assume greater decision-making roles in service selection.
• Home and hospital visits as needed
