                Who are we?

The Dale Association is a comprehensive human service agency providing programs and services for every aspect of the adult life.  At The Dale Association, we understand the changing needs of adults of all ages and are dedicated to addressing the needs of the total person.  This is accomplished through a variety of specialized programs and activities to help adults remain healthy, active and happy.
The Dale Association was originally named the Lockport Golden Age Club and was founded in 1951 as a senior citizens club in response to older people living alone and in need of social and recreational opportunities.  At the first meeting nine people were in attendance.  By the end
of the first year, 109 people were attending the monthly meetings.  In 1962, with 2,000 members, the agency became known as The Lockport Senior Citizen's Centre and, with the addition of many new programs and services, evolved into The Dale Association in 1995, named in honor of the first director, Elizabeth "Bette" Dale.

The Dale Association has a rich heritage of providing services to meet the needs of the adults in the community and continues to evolve as a leader on adult issues in and beyond the Niagara Frontier.  Throughout its 50 year history The Dale Association has responded to the changing needs of adults in the community by offering a wide range of innovative services and activities.

The Dale Association is a multi-service agency providing Senior Services, adult mental health programs, self enrichment activities and supportive case management programs.
