Private Computer Lessons
Beth Guilmart offers one-on-one instruction in your home or at the Centre's Computer Café.  Whether you need help with a specific topic or just want some personalized attention, Beth will work with you at your own pace.  Each session is 1 hour long; call the Centre to arrange an appointment at 433-1886.  (Please note no discounts available on this class).

E-Bay is Easy!

Introduction to Computers
What can you do with your Computer? The sky's the limit! Even if you have little or no computer experience. We will show you how to connect to the Internet, change you desktop picture, write letters and memos, and make address labels. It's all easy, thanks to Beth Guilmart's step-by-step instructions and helpful advice!

Senior Internet Safety

Digital Photography Made Easy!
Professional photographer, Alec Maslowski walks you through the process of taking pictures. Whether you have a 35mm or a digital camera, he will help you get to know your camera and what it is capable of doing. Starting in the classroom then moving to the computer lab to transfer your photos to a digital medium so you can manipulate, store and send. Bring your camera to class! Wednesdays Oct. 5, 12, 19; 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Advanced Photography Class
Looking to add spice to your photographs? Or additional techniques to your skill set? Of course you are! You'll be guided through technical and creative challenges. You'll gain new digital photography skills, and how to manipulate your photos to make the most of them. Dot forget to bring you camera to class! Mondays, Oct. 17, 24, 31; 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Private 1:1 College Entrance Exam Tutoring
Provide your child with targeted, individualized instruction to help you reach your goals. Help secure your entrance into the schools of your choice and increase your chances at earning scholarships. Teacher has Master's Degree, teaching certification, and 6+ years' experience in the test preparation field. Meet at The Lockport Public Library. Ongoing; Private by appointment; Cost $60 per hour.

Piano and Organ Lessons  
Private, half-hour lessons with accomplished instructor Mary Stahl open to all ability levels.  Bring the music you are working on and a notebook. New students will need to purchase music following first class.  (Please note discounts are not available on this class.)

We are please to be able to offer private, half-hour, weekly lessons with accomplished instructor Bruce Weikleenget. Open to all ability levels; whether you are a beginner or have previous playing experience, Bruce Weikleenget will work with your music preferences and help yo improve your technique using the tunes you love. Bring the music you are working on or interested in and a notebook. Mondays, 1:00 - 3:00p.m., OR Tuesdays, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. OR Thursdays 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Cost: $18 member, $22 non-member

Private Sign Language Lessons
Amy Crockford offers one-on-one sign language instruction at The Dale Association. Whether you are a beginner of just need some improvement, Amy will work with you at your own pace. Call the Centre to arrange an appointment at 433-1886. Cost per 1 hour session: $25 member, $50 non-member.

Dog Obedience
Let dog trainer, Sue McNaught of Celtic Canines shows you how to work with your pet so you can both enjoy each other. For dogs 9 weeks and older. Bring dog, collar, 6-foot leash (not chain) and some bite size treats (for the dog!) Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. 8 weeks beginning Thurs., Jan. 12; 10:00-11:30 a.m., and again March 8; 10:00-11:30 am

ARTS AND CRAFTS
Weekly Art Class
Come enjoy this fun and simple art class every Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m. Come to one or all of the classes. You will have a finished project at the end of every class. This is a friendly and fun group for all ages and stages. All supplies are included. Instructor: Beth Guilmart. Cost: $5.00 per class.

Drawing Class
Drawing is the foundation for every art form. Opening each class with a demonstration, artist Colleen Burgio helps you develop fundamentals needed to translate what you see into your artwork in any medium then helps build your confidence with lots of individual attention. Open to all levels. Supply list at registration. 6 weeks beginning Monday, January 9, 2012; 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cost $67 members/$90 non-members. No materials fee.
